BIOGRAPHY

When I was sixteen I saw 'The Making of the Revolution' (Katarina Rejger, Eric van den Broek), a documentary about the uprising against Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade. The conflict was in the news every day, but in the documentary you saw the world behind the news. You got to know the daily struggle of people in that conflict. After seeing that film I thought: I want to become a documentary maker. Being able to crawl into someone else's skin. Getting to know stories from a world that is new to me and transforming those stories in film to a wide audience. That is still what I love about the profession and why I want to continue making non-fiction films for a long time to come.

I make both independent films and productions for organizations and campaigns. I have experience with directing, photography, editing and research. When I am the one filming, I usually work with my FS7 Sony camera set. Editing, research, writing and waiting for a good idea I do from my studio in the center of Amsterdam.
